Problem
One of the biggest challenges to planning a vacation is keeping track of travel accommodations and plans. This is usually the most stressful part of vacationing due to the many different pieces from choosing a location and booking a flight to planning activities. People should be able to streamline their planning process to save time and energy.
Solution
Bon Voyage allows users to pick the dates they’re traveling in order to book a flight, choose a place to stay based on their budget, and even find local events and things to do. Having this ability in one place helps keep travel itineraries organized and planning easier.
Hypothesis
A tool that searches for and books flights, hotels, and activities all in one place helps streamline vacation planning by keeping the travel itinerary together and makes it less stressful for eager travelers.
Reason
Every year, millions of people go on vacation. As exciting as vacationing is, traveling requires a lot of planning. Which in turn can become very stressful. You have to think about when, where, how, and even what you’re going to do in the location you’re visiting. This process can become very time-consuming. That is why people need one place to keep their travel plans together and maximize their vacations.
Competitive Analysis
I proceeded to do an in-depth competitive analysis to make a list of strengths and weaknesses, check out how others solved the travel booking flow, and find out how I could improve on it in our solution.
User Interviews
During user interviews, I asked participants about their favorite and least favorite part about trip planning, their tendencies when planning and booking, and features they think are useful when using a travel app in order to better under the target users.

User Flow
The user flow allowed me to connect the goals users want to complete. By having this visual, I was able to design screens that allow users to navigate seamlessly.
Design
The user flow guided me in creating lo-fi wireframes. By first making the lo-fi wireframes, I could quickly and efficiently adjust my designs early on.
Feedback
I received user feedback on the usability of the app. Using the feedback, I made adjustments to the designs to improve the user experience.
